
With Valentine’s Day coming up Sky TV wanted to show the love to loyal subscribers, and drive uptake of the Sky Box Office offering of recent cinema movies.
We developed the Incredible Movie-Matching Machine, a mobile first, digital game which tested what sort of romantic you are and then matched the perfect movie you could enjoy on Sky with your Valentine.
By completing a few pithily worded quiz questions, the Movie-Matching Machine was able to calculate using an algorithm and match users, delivering the recommendation and how and when to watch it.
Driven by data smarts, our charming romantic robot and witty quiz was a real hit with subscribers, and sales of PPV moves for Sky spiked significantly. Open rates were above average, and an incredible 97% of visitors to the quiz completed it. All traffic to the Sky Box Office page was significantly boosted and uptake of movies significantly over target.
